The project manager (PM) will guide you through every step of construction.
- Coordinate Design Phase: From the beginning, the PM is there to negotiate on your behalf with the architects, builders, contractors and subcontractors.
- Get the site ready: The PM ensures that all permits, inspections and other required activities are completed before the project begins.
- Hiring: If you don't already have a preferred builder, contractor or subcontractor, the PM will coordinate bids, hiring and planning.
- Develop a schedule: In consultation with the builders and all trades working on the project, the PM will create a full schedule that accounts for all materials acquisition timeframes and other dependencies.
- Monitor and direct the project: During construction, they assist by providing personalized schedules and documentation, facilitating meetings with all parties, and managing costs and budgets.
